Football fans rejoice! NFL training camps open today. This season, three of the four NFC North teams will either practice or play on fields with materials supplied by Waupaca Sand & Solutions.

Today the Chicago Bears begin camp at Olivet Nazarene University. In 2014 the university’s football stadium was rebuilt to give the Bears an artificial turf field to practice on. Waupaca Sand & Solutions is proud to have supplied the infill sand for the turf system used by the Monsters of the Midway.

After the Packers leave the St. Norbert University dorms and return to their home practice facilities, they’ll practice on Nitschke Field. Several years ago, the Nitschke Field natural turf was reconstructed using rootzone media blended by WS&S. During the regular season, the Packers will be playing on the famed Lambeau Field turf, grown in a custom rootzone mix manufactured by WS&S.

When the Minnesota Vikings break camp and start the regular season, they’ll be playing at TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota. When TCF bank stadium was being constructed to host the Vikings’, they trusted WS&S to supply infill sand for the synthetic turf.

When the playoffs come along, which NFC north team will be left standing? At this point, we can only guess. But we do know that the turf these teams play on will be outstanding.
